Hucklebones clothing is designed with growing children in mind. Our sizes are on the generous side to allow room for growth. We do recommend that you check your child's measurements against our sizing guide before purchasing to ensure the best possible fit.

When measuring the chest, waist and hips pass the tape measure right around the body until the tape meets up again to get the circumference measurement.

How to measure:

Height - Measured standing - from floor to top of head.
Chest - The circumference of body under arms at centre of chest.
Waist - The circumference of body at middle - usually at tummy button level.
Hips - The circumference of body at widest part of bottom.

Delivery & Shipping

All orders are carefully wrapped and packaged to ensure they reach you in a perfect condition.

Orders will be processed within 1 working day (not Saturday, Sunday or UK Bank Holiday) of the order being placed. During busy sale periods dispatch can take up to 2 working days. International orders are shipped DDU. Once leaving the UK, you will be solely responsible for any additional customs, tax or duty charges requested by the carrier upon delivery. Return costs for rejected deliveries will not be refunded. Delivery time once dispatched is approximately as follows:

We are happy to exchange or refund goods if you are not entirely satisfied. Please return your item(s) with proof of purchase, in perfect condition with the item's original tags and packaging within 28 days and we will refund or replace the goods. Refunds will be completed within 14 days of us receiving the returned item. We cannot accept returns of used or incorrectly packaged items. You must pay and arrange for your return and are responsible for all returned goods until they reach us. Return costs for rejected deliveries will not be refunded. We therefore strongly advise that a proof of postage certificate should be obtained when returning any part of your order. All shipping charges are non-refundable, however in the unlikely event that goods arrive with you faulty or damaged, please inform us immediately so that we can replace or repair them in accordance with your statutory rights. In such cases, we can refund the costs of postage.

Protect from Sunlight

Hang your garment away from direct sunlight. This will ensure its beautiful colours remain as vivid as the day you first unwrapped it.

Follow the Care Label

Always check the wash care label inside your garment. Each piece is made from carefully chosen fabrics and trims, and the instructions ensure the most appropriate cleaning method is used. We do not recommend tumble drying, as heat can damage delicate fibres and trims.

Handle Fabrics with Care

Many of our fabrics are woven with metallic threads or silky-smooth yarns. To keep them looking perfect, avoid contact with rough surfaces such as Velcro (often found on shoes or toys), which can catch and damage the delicate weave.

Stains & Spills

Although our fabrics are exquisite in look and feel, they are also chosen for their durability. When the correct wash guidelines are followed, most childhood spills can be easily removed. So don’t worry if she drops her ice cream - let her enjoy the day.

Maintaining Volume

For our voluminous styles, steaming helps restore fullness. Begin by steaming the under layers from inside the skirt, then move to the outer layers. This ensures every tier regains its natural shape and volume.

Special Tip: Caring for Faux Fur

For our faux fur items, you can refresh the fibres to restore their softness and vitality:

• Set a hairdryer to medium heat.
• Hold it around 5 inches (12 cm) away from the garment.
• Gently direct the stream of air over the faux fur.
• This will fluff up the fibres, bringing pompoms and faux fur trims back to life with renewed bounce.
